Your questions,
our answers

No, the piano bench will arrive to you fully assembled.

We know many soloists who use a glissando piano bench to practice with a cello or with their wind instruments.
A good sitting posture with adjustable height is also important with these instruments. It promotes concentration and free movement of the back.
Especially important for wind players is free breathing, which is promoted by the relaxed upright posture.

This is not a problem with glossy black pianos and grand pianos. However, if you have a beautiful instrument made of fine woods, we will make every effort to match your piano bench to it.
As a matter of principle, we do not use tropical woods such as mahogany or rosewood, but in any case we find a solution that we can also realize with domestic woods.

Especially because of the large range of height adjustment, it is well suited for children.
However, children weighing less than 20 kg need help with the adjustment, otherwise the piano bench will not lower.

You are cordially invited to test the piano bench directly in our manufactory in Aachen or to assemble your individual Glissando bench.
You can now also try it out in Leipzig.

A clean, slightly damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning the covers and the frames. If soiled, use a mild soap solution.
The vegan covers may also be cleaned with medical disinfectants. We will be happy to name suitable means for you.

We have been manufacturing piano benches for about 22 years, and despite our lifetime warranty, we have only had to make a few repairs. Besides “accident damage”, it was usually due to the gas spring losing some of its gas charge after many years. Then the piano bench no longer lifts by itself.
The hard continuous operation at the music colleges is our best test field. There we find that after about 15 years, the first repairs may become necessary.

The entire Glissando piano bench is designed for repairability. Whether it’s the mechanics, the upholstered seat, or the frame, we can repair any damage or fix it with replacement parts. We do it carefully and inexpensively.

The guarantee period is two years for the entire bench.
For the mechanics, we also provide a lifetime warranty, during which we repair all damage and defects free of charge.
